SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Turner Auctions + Appraisals will present Decorative Arts and Wildlife Art in a two-part estate sale on Sunday, July 14, at 10:30 a.m. Pacific Time. Offering 210 lots, the sale features a diverse range of items, mostly from two estates. Bid absentee or live online through LiveAuctioneers.
Among the 163 lots in Part I – the Cornish Estate of Decorative Arts – are artworks from the 18th-20th centuries, including paintings, watercolors, drypoint, prints and lithographs; tableware from Herend and Quimper; silver-plated decorative items; Royal Doulton, Rosenthal and Staffordshire figurines; a large selection of Limoges pill boxes; copper and brass vessels; Jim Beam golf tournament commemorative bottles; sterling silver bowls, flatware and a punch bowl; and several sculptures of foxes. Highlights include a numerous Lalique items, such a large rooster, Versailles and other vases, statuettes and figures, perfume bottles, bowls and more. From China are Blanc de Chine vases, carvings, ginger jars and porcelain pots; from Japan are porcelain lions and screens.
Part II – the Dr. Richard Brumund Collection of Wildlife Art – offers wildlife artworks, including oil paintings, lithographs, prints and sculpture from well-known artists such Lee LeBlanc, Peter Markham Scott (above), David Chapple and Edward DuRose.

– Lot 164: Peter Markham Scott (1909-1989) Wigeon Tearing In, oil on canvas, 20in. x 30in, frame: 25in. x 35in., 1988. Estimate: $3,000-$5,000.
– Lot 130: a large and impressive Lalique crystal figurine of a rooster, measuring 18½in. high x 11½in. wide x 7½in. deep, signed on base. Estimate: $3,000-$5,000.
– Lot 42: A large, impressive and well-cast Chinese blanc de chine vase with an applied dragon and clouds, early- to mid-20th century. Some minor loss to clouds, measuring 28in. high x 17 diameter. Estimate: $1,000-$1,500.
– Lot 124: A Mappin and Webb sterling punch bowl and 12 cups, with a fox hunt pattern, the punch bowl measuring 9¾in. high x 14 in. diameter, approximately 3,891 grams. Estimate: $1,500-$2,500. Turner Auctions + Appraisals image.
– Lot 22: A large oil on canvas of a herder by Ira Yeager (born 1938), measuring 60in. high x 60in. wide. Estimate: $3,000-$5,000.
– Lot 84: A pair of late 19th-century Continental porcelain urns, with Egyptian revival details, measuring 14½in. high x 9in. wide x 6in. deep. Estimate: $400-$600.
– Lot 106: Four Herend hand-painted porcelain covered serving bowls, in the songbird and insect pattern, the largest measuring 9in. high x 14in. wide x 9in. deep. Estimate: $1,000-$1,500.
– Lot 162: French Daum glass Art Nouveau-style vase, in the pâte de verre technique, measuring 11½in. high x 11½in. diameter, signed on the base, chip to the base. Estimate: $400-$600.
– Lot 163: Lee LeBlanc (1913-1988), Pintails, 20in. x 32in., frame: 28in. x 40in., oil on board. Estimate: $1,000-$1,500.
– Lot 168: Ray Sexton (1959-1996), Heron on a Lily Pad, 18in. x 14in., frame: 27in. x 22in., 1989, oil on board. Estimate: $1,000-$1,500.
– Lot 169: Edward DuRose, Songbird, 15in. x 23½in., frame: 21in. x 30in., 20th century, oil on board. Estimate: $1,000-$1,500.
– Lot 177: Amado Gonzales (1913-2007), fishing scene, 20½in. x 30in., frame: matte – 32in. x 40in., acrylic on board, illustration for Campbell’s Soup. Estimate: $800-$1,200.
