SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Turner Auctions + Appraisals will present American and European fine art on Sunday, Nov. 4. Offering over 210 lots from several collectors, the sale includes oil paintings, watercolors, etchings, lithographs, ink and pastel drawings, and some sculpture, mostly from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. Absentee and Internet live bidding is available through LiveAuctioneers.

Among the many artists featured in the auction are LeRoy Neiman, Chiura Obata (above), Bror Nordfeldt (below), Julian Rix, William Keith, Harry Vincent, Jean Varda, A.D.M. Cooper, David Maass, Georges Rouault, Brenda Morrison, Nicolas de Largilliere (attrib.), Alfred Richard Mitchell, Christian Walter, Myles Birket Foster, Alfred de Breanski, William Mellor, Pierre Tetar Van Elven and Shirley Marie Russell. There is also a selection of 18th- and 19th-century portraits.

– Lot 42: Bror Nordfeldt (1878-1955), Lilies, oil on canvas, 30 x 20 inches, frame: 36½ x 26½ inches, early 20th century. Estimate: $10,000-20,000.

– Lot 145: Chiura Obata (1885-1975), San Francisco Bay and Bay Bridge from Berkeley Hills, watercolor, 15 x 20½ inches, frame: 23¼ x 29¼ inches, created: 1954. Estimate: $8,000-$12,000.

– Lot 27: William Keith, landscape with cattle, oil on canvas (relined), 19½ x 29½ inches, frame: 27¼ x 37¼ inches. Estimate: $2,000-3,000.

– Lot 24: Harry Aiken Vincent (1864-1931), Venetian fishing boats, Venetian canal scene on the reverse, oil on board, 10½ x 14½ inches, frame: 17 x 21 inches, late 19th/early 20th century. Estimate: $3,000-$5,000.

– Lot 56: Astley David Middleton Cooper (1856-1924), plains Indian scene, oil on canvas, 19¾ x 23½ inches, frame: 23¼ x 27 inches, 1915. Estimate: $2,000-$4,000.

– Lot 59: Alfred Richard Mitchell (attrib.), Southwestern desert landscape, oil on board, 16 x 20 inches, 23½ x 27½ inches, 20th century. Estimate: $3,000-$4,000.

– Lot 68: Christian Walter (1872-1938), coastal scene, oil on canvas, 22 x 27 inches, frame: 25½ x 30¾ inches, late 19th/early 20th century. Estimate: $3,000-$5,000.

– Lot 110: Nicolas de Largilliere (attrib.) (French, 1656-1746), Portrait of a Woman with Flowers, oil on canvas, 41½ x 31½ inches, frame: 47¾ x 37¼ inches, 18th century. Estimate:  $5,000-$7,000.

– Lot 96: Unsigned portrait of a gentleman, oil on canvas mounted on 20th-century canvas, 35 x 27 inches. frame: 41¾ x 34 inches, early 19th century. Estimate: $2,000-$3,000.

– Lot 127: Alfred de Breanski (1852-1928), Scottish landscape, oil on canvas, 18 x 30¼ inches, unframed, undated. Estimate: $2,000-$3,000.

– Lot 140: Pierre Tetar Van Elven (1828-1908), Cathedral of Bourges, oil on canvas, 18 x 22 inches, frame: 23½ x 27½ inches, 19th century. Estimate: $2,000-$3,000.

– Lot 171: LeRoy Neiman (1921-2012), gambling scene, color lithograph, 46/300, 24 x 32 inches, frame: 40 x 48½ inches, second half of the 20th century. Estimate: $1,000-$2,000.
