SANTA ANA, Calif. – Don Presley will present antiques, collectibles and decorative items from upscale Southern California estates at an auction May 15. Absentee and Internet live bidding will be available through LiveAuctioneers.com.

A handmade Chippendale-style table and eight chairs by Century Furniture (shown below) is one of the many premium-quality lots in the sale. The set carries a $2,000-$2,500 estimate.

Also featured is a custom-made eight-light Baccarat crystal chandelier with cut-crystal prisms. The fixture measures 42 by 32 inches and is estimated at $8,000-$12,000.

An especially beautiful Victorian fire screen with gilt trim around a classical scene has a starting bid of only $100. It is expected to attract a winning bid in the $300-$400 range.

An unusual item in the lineup is a late 19th-century relief of the Madonna and Child in a walnut frame (shown at top). Painted over a composite material, the work measures 37 by 37 inches. It is estimated at $500-$1,000.

Other standouts include estate jewelry, wristwatches, porcelain, Asian items, dolls and coins.
