Van Cleef & Arpels, Cartier, Bulgari jewelry sparkles in Jasper52 auction Feb. 27

NEW YORK – Van Cleef & Arpels, Cartier and Bulgari are several of the famous names that stand out in a diverse mix of designer jewelry offered by Jasper52 in an online auction Wednesday, Feb. 27. Absentee and Internet bidding is available exclusively through LiveAuctioneers.

For a retro look there is the “Ludo” bracelet introduced by Van Cleef & Arpels in France in 1935. Its name is a reference to Louis Arpels, who was known to his friends as “Ludo.” The 18K gold bracelet (above) features a cushion cut ruby cabochon that measures 12.40 by 9.10 by 4.48 mm and weighs approximately 5.86 carats. The five old mine cut diamonds in the buckle weigh approximately 0.55-carat each and diamond total weight is approximately 6.00 carats (est. $36,000-$48,000).

From Cartier’s famous Panthere collection is an 18K white gold ring (below). The panther’s eyes are emeralds, the nose is black onyx and diamonds adorn its head. The ring measures slightly under 1 by 3/4 inches. It is stamped with Cartier maker’s mark, a hallmark for 18k gold, ring size and a serial number (est. $16,000-$19,000).

Brilliant cut white diamonds (total weight 1.25 carats) contrast with cognac diamonds (total weight 5.20 carats) on a De Grisogono snake ring. Created in Italy, the ring bears Italian hallmarks for 18K gold and a serial number. The ring comes with an original De Grisogono certificate of authenticity (est. $14,000-$17,000).

Beautiful necklaces are featured in the Jasper52 auction. A 1980s Bulgari 18K yellow gold chain necklace set with an oval cabochon coral and two oval cabochon amethysts (est. $8,000-$10,000). It is stamped with Bulgari maker’s mark, the hallmark for 18K gold and the country (Italy) of manufacture.

An elegant and timeless necklace created by Buccellati in Italy in the 1950s features a baroque pearl that measures 22.34 x 17.01 x 15.42 millimeters as well as rose cut diamonds. The necklace comes apart into three pieces and one can be worn as a bracelet.
All three pieces stamped with Buccellati maker’s mark, country of manufacture and hallmarks for 18K gold (est. $40,000-$48,000).

Among the 19 lots of Van Cleef & Arpels designs is a 30-inch-long lapis lazuli and yellow gold necklace. The gold chain necklace is stamped with Van Cleef & Arpels’ New York maker’s mark, a hallmark for 18K gold and a serial number ($19,000-$23,000).
