Vogt Auction taps into cache of luxury items Feb. 27

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – An incredible collection of diamond jewelry and other luxury items seized by federal court order from disgraced San Antonio oil and gas entrepreneurs Brian and Kristi Alfaro will be auctioned off at Vogt Auction Galleries on Saturday, Feb. 27, at 1 p.m. CST. Bid absentee or live online through LiveAuctioneers.

The collection features a 6.6 carat emerald-cut diamond and platinum ring (above) estimated to sell for $70,000, as well as a 7.02 carat diamond pendant (below) estimated at $25,000. Other items include fine watches, designer handbags and bars of silver bullion.

The auction will also feature iconic designs from Cartier, Hermes, Rolex, Louis Vuitton, Tiffany, Chanel and more.

As noted in extensive San Antonio news coverage, Brian Alfaro, 51, was sentenced on Nov. 10, 2020, to 10 years and a month in federal prison and was ordered to pay $9.9 million in restitution to his victims following his conviction on mail fraud charges. Proceeds from Vogt’s auction will be returned to the victims as part of the restitution order.

The auction will take place at Vogt Auction Galleries at 7233 Blanco Road in San Antonio. Bidders can participate live, live online or live by telephone. Auction items will be available to preview in person Thursday and Friday, Feb. 25-26, 10 a.m. –6 p.m. at the Blanco Road gallery.
