NEW YORK – Collectible coins from around the globe – more than 300 lots – are offered in an online auction that will be conducted by Jasper52 on Wednesday, May 27. Countries represented in the auction include Denmark, Korea, The Netherlands, Switzerland, France, Belgium, Great Britain, Australia and China. A 3-ounce silver coin from the Cook Islands melds fine art with hand-engraving. The large $20 coin (above) features a color print Russian artist Viktor Vasnetzov’s ‘Three Bogatyrs.’ This 2010 mintage is from the island nation’s collectible coins series “Masterpieces of Art” and is expected to sell for $550-$700.
Rare antique coins in the sale include a 1649 Danzig (now Gdańsk, Poland) large silver taler (below) in nice condition (est. $2,500-$3,000).
With a comparable estimate is a rare 1986 China silver matte 5 yuan coin having a soccer theme. It was one of 1,001 such coins minted.

A 1927 5 marks silver coin from Bremerhaven (Germany) is offered in nice condition (est. $900-$1,100).
An uncirculated 1959 Australia proof 1 penny graded PCGS PF64 RD carries a $700-$800 estimate.
