NEW YORK – Another set of twins has made its mark on the Bowery mural.

Identical brothers HOW and NOSM painted the wall in November. Similar to the print they titled Storm Predictions, prophetically released right before Sandy hit, the mural features their trademark grey, blacks and red colors.

The limited palette doesn’t belie the complicated composition, which centers an industrial monstrosity with jointed fingers and smoking light bulbs. Amid the mechanical melay, animals such as pigs, fish and birds stoically endure.

The effect holds your attention both from afar and up close, where you can see the dedication to Tony Goldman, who’s efforts to preserve and legitimize street art make him a hero to the movement.

The brothers, originally from Spain, now live in Brooklyn. They were once known for their graffiti work as part of the Bronx-based Tats Cru, but now they are commissioned across the world to complete their complex statements.
