NEW YORK – On Wednesday, September 18, starting at 11 am Eastern time, Jasper52 will present its next Exquisite Fine Art Paintings and Prints sale, consisting of 197 lots. Absentee and Internet bidding will be available through LiveAuctioneers.
Leading the trio of highlights is a circa-1961 untitled abstract oil painting credited to Jean-Francois Pierre (b. 1936-). It measures 36 by 25.5in and carries an estimate of $7,000-$8,000.
Also featured is a circa-1780s Italian School still life with flowers in an antique gilt frame, having an estimate of $4,500-$5,500. The lot notes describe it as ‘overall very good and presentable’.
The final highlight is a late 19th-century Italian School work titled Studying the Maps, estimated at $2,500-$3,000. The painting, which comes from a private UK collection, shows two cardinals and an explorer conversing over a table spread with maps.
