LINCOLN PARK, N.J. – Willow Auction House will present its Spring Great Estates Curated Auction on Thursday, April 6, starting at noon Eastern time. The selection of artwork includes paintings by the American artist Charles Warren Eaton (1857-1937), who was best known for his landscapes. The sale features more than a dozen paintings by Eaton, including an oil on canvas landscape at dusk with a crescent moon, estimated $2,000-$3,000; an oil on canvas depicting the tall trees he frequently painted, estimated at $2,000-$4,000; and an oil on board of Lake Lugano, estimated at $1,000-$2,000.

The auction also includes a strong selection of furniture, including a walnut Queen Anne chest of drawers that carries an estimate of $2,000-$4,000. Dating to 1710, the chest features four graduated drawers and bracket feet. Two round 19th-century English vitrines together represent another highlight; each is individually estimated at $2,000-$3,000. A W.B. McLean Tobacco cabinet with an estimate of $800-$1,200 is also of interest. Crowned by its original glass “cigars” sign, the cabinet pairs nicely with the Thomas Brooks-style cigar store Indian on offer and the collection of smoking items in the sale, which include vintage ashtrays and lighters.
