HERSHEY, Pa. – A memorial service celebrating the life of William H. “Bill” Smith will be held on Wednesday, September 29 at 4 pm Eastern time in the William H. & Jeanne H. Smith Rotunda of the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) Museum, 161 Museum Drive, Hershey, Pennsylvania.

Smith was one of the primary founders of the AACA Museum and a beloved figure within the antique car collecting hobby.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the newly created William H. “Bill” Smith Scholarship Fund. The AACA Museum announced that through the generosity of an anonymous donor, a $10,000 donation has been directed to initiate this new scholarship fund.

“Bill was always interested in the next generation and the future,” said Jeffrey Bliemeister, Executive Director of the Museum. “I know he would be thrilled at the thought of his memory being honored in this special way.”

A special account has been established to shepherd scholarship donations. Those interested in honoring Bill Smith in this way may direct contributions to the “William H. ‘Bill’ Smith Scholarship Fund” care of Jeffrey Bliemeister, AACA Museum, Inc., 161 Museum Drive, Hershey, PA 17033.

The memorial is open to all and no RSVP is required. Standard COVID-19 protocols will be observed.
