Daniel Agnew launches specialist Web site
Daniel Agnew, a familiar name to buyers of fine toys, dolls, teddy bears and other antique and vintage juvenilia, has set off on his own and established a new Web site: www.danielagnew.com. As an independent agent, Agnew now privately advises clients and sells both at antique shows and through his new Web site.
Agnew is probably best known for running Christie’s South Kensington’s famous Teddy Bear auctions from 2000 to 2007, but his talents also run to writing. At the moment he is conducting extensive research in preparation for a new book that he hopes will become the “definitive compendium on the British teddy bear.”
On Sept. 14, Daniel Agnew will be set up at Hugglet’s Fair at Kensington Town Hall, London. He said he is setting aside some special items just for that particular show.
