BEDALE, UK – Elstob & Elstob Auctioneers recently opened in the North Yorkshire market town of Bedale. The principals are David and Beth Elstob, a husband and wife who have created a focal point in the North of England for buying and selling high-quality antiques, fine art and objects of distinction.

Elstob & Elstob Auctioneers has four catalog sales scheduled this year. Absentee and Internet live bidding is available through LiveAuctioneers. Other services include professional valuations for sales, probate, insurance and family division, as well as the provision for single-owner and corporate sales.

The Elstobs have a wealth of personal experience of the industry and they bring together a team of experts who provide a full range of auction and valuation services not only to clients in the region but also at a national and international level.

David Elstob was previously director of Thomas Watson’s auction house in Darlington, one of the oldest and most respected auction houses in the North of England. He is a chartered arts and antique surveyor validated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, a status few UK auctioneers achieve. He has a master’s degree in antiques from the University of Central Lancashire and membership of the National Association of Valuers and Auctioneers.

Beth Elstob is one of the region’s leading jewelry experts. She started her career working alongside Susan Rumfitt, a renowned Harrogate-based jewelry specialist, before setting up her own consultancy business, selling and sourcing all manner of jewelry for private clients across the UK.

Elstob & Elstob Auctioneers occupies spacious premises in Bedale Hall, a prestigious location at the heart of this attractive Georgian North Yorkshire market town on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales.
