Effective Feb. 10, the internationally recognized and accomplished motorsports executive, will take on an active leadership role in the evaluation and execution of new ventures and business opportunities that Mecum seeks to add to its portfolio.
Chitwood is a recognized executive-level professional in the world of motorsports with a strong record of operating large-scale events, driving revenue and profit growth across the motorsports industry. He has a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Florida and an MBA from the University of South Florida, and he is the former president of the Daytona International Speedway, the former president and chief operating officer of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the former manager of administration for the Indy Racing League, and he most recently served as the executive vice president and chief operating officer of the International Speedway Corp.
Chitwood will join a team that has worked steadily to pave the way for growth and opportunity.
