Originally commissioned by beauty products titan Avon for the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, this Greg Wyatt bronze sculpture measures 94in in height and has great provenance, having later been on display at Avon’s New York flagship location. A depiction of a woman athlete at the moment of triumph, it carries an estimate of $383,000-$460,000.

A high-ceilinged entryway can make a monumental statement with this 7ft palatial light fixture made of copper, brass, iron and silk. Dating to the 1950s, the Baroque-inspired light is estimated at $8,000-$10,000.

Measuring nearly 63in in total height, this alabaster pedestal with a winged angel perched on top would provide a welcome sight in any common area of the home. Created in the early 20th century in France, it has an estimate of $15,000-$18,000.

CHICAGO – On November 18, Hindman Auctions achieved $1,121,063 in its Antiquities and Ethnographic Art auction, which included remarkable engagement with ancient Egyptian sculpture. Figural stone sculptures and portrait heads also saw strong bidding activity. The auction offered objects from the fifth millennium BCE to the 20th century CE.
