The extraordinary craftmanship of the collection was clearly appreciated by bidders, with a 95 percent sell-through rate achieved across the 42 lots. DALLAS – The Dallas Museum of Art (DMA) is the lone North American venue for Cartier and Islamic Art: In Search of Modernity, a major exhibition tracing inspirations from Islamic art and design – including from Louis Cartier’s exquisite collection of Persian and Indian art – on the creations of the Maison Cartier from the early 20th century to present day.
