NEW HAMBURG, Canada – A 1923 Willards Chocolates Babe Ruth baseball card was a hit for $23,600 and a cutaway model of a 1962 Vickers VC-10 BOAC jet plane soared to $18,880 in an online-only Advertising & Historic Objects auction held January 21 by Miller & Miller Auctions, Ltd. NEW HAMBURG, Canada – A monumental four-by-eight-foot Coca-Cola sign from 1938 achieved $14,160, a single family-owned 1966 Ford Ranger 250 Custom Cab Camper Special pick-up truck with Avion camper sold for $82,600, and a 2006 Harley Davidson Softail Deluxe black cherry motorcycle roared off with $16,520 in Miller & Miller Auctions, Ltd.’s online-only Petroliana & Advertising auction held on October 29. A total of 474 registered bidders placed 9,077 bids in an auction that grossed $534,215. In all, 90 percent of lots were sold and 60 percent of the top 50 lots exceeded their estimate. NEW HAMBURG, Canada – A circa-1884 Winchester cartridge board – one of the most sought-after examples of American sporting advertising – hit the mark for $70,800 in an online-only Petroliana & Advertising Auction held April 23 by Miller & Miller Auctions, Ltd.
