NEWBURY, U.K. – In its Wednesday, June 14 Old Master, British and European Art sale, Dreweatts Donnington Priory will offer a study for the legendary Perseus series by one of the most famous British Pre-Raphaelite artists, Edward Coley Burne-Jones (1833-1898), commissioned by British Prime Minister Arthur Balfour (1848-1930) in 1875 for the music room of his London home at 4 Carlton Gardens in St James’s. The study carries an estimate of £15,000-£20,000. Absentee and Internet live bidding will be available through LiveAuctioneers.
