ROCKFORD, Ill. (AP) – The Illinois Historic Sites Advisory Council has recommended a Rockford home designed by Frank Lloyd Wright be added to the National Register of Historic Places.

The Rockford Register Star reports council members gave the Laurent House unanimous support. Now the National Register will review the case. Local supporters say they hope to hear results in three or four months. The Laurent Foundation plans to open the home as a museum in April.

The home was built for disabled World War II veteran Ken Laurent, who died in January. The foundation bought it at auction last year.
