WESTHAMPTON, N.Y. – A pair of Converse basketball shoes worn by the legendary Michael Jordon in the 1984 Olympics is the star attraction at Grey Flannel’s Summer Games auction of sports memorabilia, which is open for bidding, now through Wednesday, June 24.

The shoes were signed and gifted to a ballboy in the locker room following the medal ceremony. The recipient, who has owned the sneakers for the past 31 years, provided a detailed letter of provenance that will convey to the new owner. The star lot of Grey Flannel’s auction is entered with a $50,000 reserve.

Additional highlights include Wilt Chamberlain’s game-used Philadelphia Warriors home uniform from the 1961-62 NBA season, and Bill Russell’s game-used Boston Celtics road jersey dating to the early 1960s, and Julius “Dr. J” Erving’s game-used ABA New York Nets jersey from the final season of the ABA.

Moving to the gridiron, Grey Flannel’s auction trove is topped by Lot #174, a game-used and autographed Baltimore Colts home uniform worn by Hall of Fame quarterback Johnny Unitas.
