NEW YORK – Containing more tips, more marks and more prices than any other competitive price guide on the market, the new edition of Kovels’ Antiques and Collectibles Price Guide 2019 (Black Dog & Leventhal) by Terry Kovel and Kim Kovel will be on bookshelves Sept. 25.

Casual and expert collectors have turned to the Kovels for their expertise for more than 50 years. This 51st edition includes 300 marks, 16,000 prices and more than 2,500 photos of items in the categories most sought-after by collectors, including advertising, furniture, glass, jewelry, kitchen, porcelain, toys, sewing and tools.

Other guides focus on high-end items. Kovels’ has prices for antiques and collectibles used in American homes since the 1700s as well as American-made art and design. Kovels’ is the only guide with prices based on actual sales from the previous year, never estimates and never stale. Plus, Kovels’ Antiques and Collectibles Price Guide 2019 includes a bonus section – “What’s Hot and What’s Not in Antiques & Collectibles,” an illustrated record price list, and hundreds of marks that identify the age and value of an antique.

“I think you are going to love this year’s book. The pictures are bigger, and the new additional marks will help you date and price your finds,” said Terry Kovel, who has written more than 100 books on antiques and collectibles. She writes a nationally syndicated newspaper column, Kovels’ Antiques & Collecting, a subscription newsletter, Kovels on Antiques & Collectibles, and e-newsletter for Kovels.com.

Kim Kovel, daughter of Terry and Ralph Kovel, runs Kovels.com and has spent the last 15 years contributing to Kovels’ price guides and other projects.
