N.H. museum’s camera leads to arrest of alleged purse snatcher

MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) – New Hampshire police say they have a suspect in custody after a 91-year-old woman headed to church in Manchester had her purse stolen and the event was recorded by a surveillance camera at the Currier Museum.

Police say 22-year-old Joseph Audet, Jr., of Manchester was arrested Tuesday shortly after the 4 p.m. robbery.

The 91-year-old victim was not identified. She and a woman walking with her were knocked to ground during the incident. Police did not report their condition

The Currier Museum is located across the street from the church where the two women were headed.
