CINCINNATI (AP) – A southwest Ohio judge has ruled that a decades-long international dispute over a rare luxury car must come to an end in an auction within a year.

The vehicle in question is one of six ever made 1954 Ferrari 375 Plus Spyder.

It once belonged to a Cincinnati car aficionado who later sold it to a Westwood man. Court records show the man removed some of the car’s parts to prevent its theft, but the 12-cylinder vehicle was later stolen and disappeared until 1989 when it was imported to Europe.

The Cincinnati Enquirer reports the judge last week ordered that the car’s parts that are still in Cincinnati, as well as the refurbished car and its original motor, must be auctioned to end a 2010 lawsuit brought by one of the alleged owners.
