RICHMOND, Va. – A valuable Japanese Meiji silver tea service, two trays and two Chinese Export Silver hot water jugs or milk pots were stolen from a home in late October.

These items were brought to the U.S. in the 1890s by an American diplomat to Asia and have descended in his family.

Jewelry was also stolen including an antique ring with three diamonds, approximately 2 carats, in a platinum setting with a yellow gold shank.

The Richmond Police Department is investigating the crime.
