WOODSTOCK, Vt. (AP) – Skiers dusted off their old-style gear and raised money for the Vermont Ski Museum at the seventh annual Vermont Antique Ski Race.

The for-fun race was held Saturday at the Suicide Six ski area in Woodstock.

For the event, all skis had to predate 1975.

Besides using old skis on Saturday, 1972 Olympic skier Cece Teague told WCAX-TV that she also wore her old ski clothing from that era.

The skiers said the long and thin skis of yesteryear are harder to ski on than the shorter and maneuverable model that are around today.
