LA museum to host Aug. 14 Royal Jubilee tea party honoring Queen Elizabeth II

RANCHO PALOS VERDES, Calif. – On Sunday, August 14, from 1 pm to 4 pm Pacific time, the Palos Verdes Art Center will host a Royal Jubilee Tea Party in honor of Queen Elizabeth II. Its headline speaker will be Bonhams Director of Jewelry Emily Waterfall.

Waterfall will discuss provenance, sourcing, determining value, the global market for jewelry and also storytelling in fine jewelry. She has more than 16 years’ worth of experience and is responsible for business-getting, client development, appraisals and sourcing property for jewelry sales in Los Angeles and in New York.

A native of San Diego, California, Emily graduated with an undergraduate degree in art history from Brigham Young University, has completed courses at the Gemological Institute of America and has published articles in the American Society of Jewelry Historians newsletters.

The Royal Jubilee Tea Party menu will feature blackcurrant scones with berry preserves and Devonshire cream, as well as finger sandwiches and assorted sweets. Tea choices include Twinings Earl Grey, Taylors of Harrogate Assam English Breakfast, and peach raspberry infusion, served with sugar cubes and milk.
