MIAMI – Pérez Art Museum Miami’s (PAMM) 2016 presentations will feature important retrospectives, bold new work, and exceptional traveling shows from internationally celebrated artists. Dominated by solo exhibitions, PAMM’s 2016 schedule focuses on positioning key contemporary artists worldwide within the South Florida context, a unique nexus of diversity and integration, inspiring fresh interpretations of their practice.

Among the special exhibitions planned for later this year is “No Boundaries: Aboriginal Australian Contemporary Abstract Painting,” which will run from September 17 through January 3, 2016.

Originating at the Nevada Museum of Art in Reno, the Australian aboriginal art exhibition brings together the work of nine aboriginal artists whose works explore complex and innovative modes of abstraction relating to cultural systems, religious beliefs and social structures.

“No Boundaries: Aboriginal Australian Contemporary Abstract Painting” was organized by William Fox, Director, Center for Art and Environment; and scholar Henry Skerritt. The exhibition is drawn from the collection of Debra and Dennis Scholl.
