GENEVA (AFP) – Impressionist Edgar Degas’ later works go on display in Basel next month, Switzerland’s Fondation Beyeler museum said on Monday.

The exhibition will feature paintings from 1886 to 1912, a “rich and complex period, marking the apogee of more than 60 years of remarkably productive creativity,” the foundation said in a statement.

The exhibition opens on Sept. 30 and runs until Jan. 27. It includes 150 works, including representations of dancers, jockeys, racehorses as well as landscapes.

Contributing museums include the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, London’s Tate Gallery, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, Munich’s Staatsgemaldesammlungen and the Musee d’Orsay in Paris.
