Appraisal Institute of America studies program to start in September

NEW YORK – The Appraisal Institute of America’s Fall/Spring Comprehensive Appraisal Studies Program will be offered online September 2018 through May of 2019.

The Fall/Spring program is a two-semester proscribed online course with two exciting weekends held in New York City. All instruction is provided by certified members of the Appraisers Association of America and qualified professionals in related fields. The program will begin in late September, and end the first week in April. Most classes will take place online 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Eastern Time on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Included in this program are two in-person weekends in New York City. Students will have hands-on experience with conservation and restoration concerns, damage and loss scenarios and issues.

The Comprehensive Appraisal Studies Program trains students interested in becoming personal property appraisers meeting the qualifications of the Appraisal Foundation. This program has been designed to help meet the growing demand for personal property appraisers in the $63.7 billion global art market. Since the launch of CASP in July 2016, 82 students have completed the program and gone on to become independent appraisers, join appraisal companies or have started their own firms.

The Appraisal Institute of America is the educational foundation of the Appraisers Association of America. Its mission is to present, advance and promote educational programs and access to information pertaining to appraisals for the general public and for new and established appraisers.
