MT. CRAWFORD, Va. – Jeffrey S. Evans & Associates Inc. will conducting its sixth annual Virginia Decorative Arts Seminar on Saturday, June 11, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The all-day event features scholars and craftspeople presenting and demonstrating on all things woven in Virginia, and will be held at the Jeffrey S. Evans & Associates auction gallery located at 2177 Green Valley Lane in Mt. Crawford.
The deadline to register is Wednesday, June 1.
The exciting, one-day colloquium features six expert guest speakers who will present lectures and demonstrations relating to this year’s topic, Woven in Virginia: From Bedcovers to Chair Seats.
Speakers include:
- Laurie Duxbury, weaver and historian
- Jeffrey S. Evans, president of Jeffrey S. Evans & Associates Inc.
- Clyde Jenkins, basket weaver and historic preservationist
- Sandra Parks, storyteller and folklorist
- Kathy Staples, independent scholar
- Scott Suter, associate professor of English and American Studies at Bridgewater College
The cost per person for the seminar is $95 (with lunch) or $85 (without lunch).
