NH Craftsmen’s Fair offers acoustic guitar making

NEWBURY, N.H. (AP) _ The 78th annual League of New Hampshire Craftsmen’s Fair is featuring a new demonstration on acoustic guitar making.

The presentation by John Whiteside gives visitors to the Newbury fair a chance to see a variety of guitars in different stages of completion.

Visitors also can view and buy jewelry, glass, pottery, prints, woodcarving, furniture and other items at 200 craft booths.

There are workshops in soap carving, papermaking, glass-blowing and other subjects. There also are demonstrations in such fields as rug hooking, blacksmithing, and chainsaw carving.

The nine-day fair started Saturday and is running through next Sunday, Aug. 14.
