TOKYO – Wish Tree for Tokyo, donated by Yoko Ono to the Museum of Contemporary Art, Tokyo, for its permanent collection in 2005, has been planted in the museum’s sculpture garden. Every year in December, Yoko Ono invites the public to come to the museum to write a wish and hang it on Wish Tree for Tokyo.

All of the wishes are returned to Ono and continue on in connection with her Imagine Peace Tower, a 2007 installation in Reykjavik, Iceland, dedicated to the memory of her late husband John Lennon, who died on December 8, 1980.
