BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. – An important oil painting by Vietnamese-French artist Le Pho is one of the star attractions at I.M. Chait Gallery/Aucitoneers’ Aisan and International Fine Arts Auction on July 31.

The large oil on canvas painting by Le Pho (1907-2001) is a still life depicting a vase containing a wide spray of cheerful blossoms in yellow, orange, red and white. The framed painting, 31 1/4 by 38 inches, is titled Les Chrysanthèmes Jaunes and carries an estimate of $12,000-$18,000.
The auction will also include:
– Collections of Japanese sword furniture including antique tsuba and menuki, from the Hashimoto Estate as well as a New York estate;
– A group of Japanese woodblock prints, with works by Hiroshige, Toyokuni III and other ukiyo-e artists, together with a rare shin-hanga piece by Torii Kotondo;

– Fine estate jewelry, featuring a large and exquisite 12.60 carat Deco-style emerald ring; a 5 carat ruby ring; as well as a fine sapphire and diamond choker;
– Elegant silver and vertu including antique Tiffany & Co., Georgian and Georg Jensen items
– Grouping of Korean antiques of paintings and ceramics from a Simi Valley collector, featuring an important Choson Dynasty porcelain water dropper.
