They need reliable alternate shippers. Current shipping service providers are overly expensive and slow. However, the auction house staff remain very helpful every step of the way.

Roseberys initially asked me to make a deposit before registerimg me as a bidder. I refused to do so and they agreed to register me on the basis of my bidding history.

No shipping provided-not even simple packing or any help in that matter: (I would not advise to offer online auctions if one can not get the items shipped. Makes no sense!

As some other auction houses in UK, Rosebery's also doesn't provide shipping. That is acceptable, I can arrange my own shipper. But not to provide wrapping a little object in bubble wrap to my own responsibility, so that I can arrange DHL pickup is unacceptable. They told me that they can give normal bag to the DHL guy, so he can put two gold lighters in. Well thank you. They have, after my plead, suggested three pack & ship companies, of which only one replied at all, to one of two questions, with absurd price of packing and shipping within london of 60 GBP. So I had to find a person to collect personaly the objects at the auction house which was rather inconvenient as they are outside underground area.

I won the lot number 33 of auction date 16th October, 2015. The payment was done in due course and I was to give shipping instructions. We are based in India and Australia. It was coincided that I had to visit London before the shipping can occur. My visit to UK was only for a 3 days. I was reaching London Friday 23rd October afternoon and would leave Monday 26th October morning. I inquire the Rosebery that would it be possible to recover my won lot during Saturday or Sunday, and if not, then I might pick up lot by Friday. My flight to London was delayed and I could not pick up lot on Friday. I informed Rosebery the matter and requested to arrange delivery earliest possible on Monday as I had to reach airport by 10-30 morning. I reach your auction house a bit early. eventually staff arrived. I requested many times that I am getting late to reach airport, but even every one was working inside the house, no one was willing to understand my urgency. At your own time I was let inside and made to pay a storage fee for two days even though there were holidays and "YOU" were not able to manage delivery and the lot was so small that it would fit inside of pocket and would not need large place of storage. NO one was willing to understand my urgency as well as reasoning. It was talking to a wall. Never have such experience from an auction house to a dealer and regular customer who both is a buyer as well as consignee to your auction house.
