They take great pictures and make the item look fabulous. But the quality is a disappointment. Buyer BEWARE.

I would shop & bid again at Palm Beach Modern Auctions. They were quick with emails and very professional.

During the bidding process another bid prior to my first bid registered at $1400. When I submitted an online interactive bid of $1500 the LiveAuctioneers application indicated that after several warnings about the bidding ending, I was the winning bid and that the bidding then listed as ended (the hammer had dropped on the item). However, after a several second delay, the bidding resumed from the "floor" and the item was again open. This was quite surprising and I did not realize initially that the notification that I had won the item for $1500 had been reversed. I then had to submit a number of additional bids online in order to win the item. The final price for the item was over double what the initial winning bid indicated ($3250). I have participated in a number of other online auctions and have never had this sort of thing happen before. Once the item is listed as closed for bidding, I have not seen the item open up after a delay.

I wish more auction houses shipped small items. It becomes extremely expensive to pay a company to pick up, pack and ship. Most auction houses have in-house shipping for smaller items (non-furniture).

Handle good prices and good commodity output and treatment is excellent.
