The UPS stores they use are both rip offs. Would help if they actually negotiate with them as they do business on a regular basis. UPS charges-PICK up, box cost, packing materials, packing labor, packing tape, overestimates weight, insurance. For a lot of 3 lb both stores quotes were $56.00 and 57.50. Actual cost to ship back from a UPS store to GRAY's $12.62 Would think twice before bidding again

I have absolutely no complaints about the Auction House but I was not so impressed by the shipper. I do not know what their procedures are and I am aware this was a big auction of artwork which probably involved a lot of careful packaging. I felt I was being "strung along" a little but in the end my linen lot arrived and all is fine. I would buy from Gray's again.

The UPS shipper did a FANTASTIC job of following up getting the items packing was terrific! and shipped... Arrived as scheduled... and packed so well all arrived in perfect condition. AND were as pictured and described by the Auction house

My shell vase was damaged in shipment, might want to separate led an base bowl better than it was. I will super glue the two pieces from bowl edge.

The piece I got far exceeded my expectations.

My last win was a lot of four Stobart prints that were not packed correctly and ended up damaged due I am quite certain to poor packing and not improper handling. If a lot of the prints you sell are shipped by one of the UPS stores it could be a help to buyers if you might have a discussiion with them relative to proper packing of prints.

As an online bidder, needing shipping it was a bit awkward. It was good that a shipper was recommended but a more integrated system may of been helpful to ease concerns.

Work received with a hole in the middle and various scratches, although not mentioned by the auction house (work had to be excellent in condition). Overpayed the shipping: 137 usd against usual 50/60Usd. Not a serious house. To forget!
