Have been coming to Main Auction Galleries for over 20 years. Have always had a great experience. Staff is experienced and very helpful. Jay and Jonas are the two auctioneers and treat you to a show along with a wonderful auction experience. The few times that the item was not exactly as described, my money was returned with no hassle. I have and still will refer others to Main Auction Galleries.

terrible shipper tried to charge me an exorbitant amount for shipping a small photo.

It's expensive to have someone go to them, pick up your item, pack it, and then ship it to you. Not for purchasing low cost items. You need to spend several hundred dollars to try to justify the cost of receiving your item. Otherwise, they have some really great stuff to offer up for auction!!!

Nice items. Employees helpful and courteous at time of pick up. Look forward to more offerings from this house.

Only that the listing stated that the painting was "signed" underneath the frame. I inquired if this had been checked.. if the frame had been removed. Auction staff said they would check and get back to me. They did not. I purchased the painting and when I got it I removed the frame: the painting is not signed. However, I am confident of the attribution..
