I purchased over 12K of items in the last auction for a client project. The client found "MADE IN CHINA" and "MADE IN INDIA" stickers on the pieces! turns out much of BrightStar's stuff is fake-it is mixed in with real antiques. be very careful. the industrial lights, much of the farmhouse furniture, the metal signs, the concrete garden pieces, the wooden bowls, paper mache stuff-all fake (this was confirmed by top Antique dealers in SF). Jay's response was "well you liked it when you saw it" ?) and "there are Antiques in India too".... if you dont mind reproductions then go for it... if you want authentic farmhouse antiques, be very very cautious... most of these are not that....

Do NOT buy with confidence Bright Star Antiques Co. treated me badly I won't use Bright Star Antiques Co. again. This isn't my first auction, I have "won" items using liveauctioneer platform from HEARTLAND ARTIFACT AUCTIONS, INC.   MILESTONE AUCTIONS Centurion Auctions and BESTIE JEWELRY & INC etc and all of them were more or less good experiences with reasonable   predictable fees and shipping.   I bought this item because I’m putting together a little collection of. 38 S & W stuff and this would be cool to have. I figured that around $40 would be okay to drop on something without doing a bunch of research about price, condition, usability and missing parts and more importantly the auction house.   Well it turns out that with fees, taxes and shipping & handling the price almost doubled to $74.19   I feel ripped off.   I’m very disappointed with the condition of the reloading tool, it’s unusable because of missing parts, the picture doesn’t do justice to how dirty, grimy and rusty the piece is, it’s not even usable as an expensive paperweight. I’m so disappointed that it’s still left sitting in the original package, I don't care to look at it and be reminded that I got ripped. After making money on the item they slap that fee on top of the hammer price, then they turn around and tell you that “we just don’t ship” you’re now at the mercy of an outside shipper. They refused a return request, they wrote that I had multiple issues when I only objected to shipping as this is the only Co I dealt with that didn't provide shipping. Impulse buys (which probably drives their business) is a very bad idea. I’m not sure how they’re thinking about the longevity of their businesses when customers are disappointed with their purchase because of added and padded fees and not include or estimate shipping. Don't do it!

I got some beautiful coins, and some were at very good prices. Would bid again

I am very satisfied with my overall experience purchasing items from Bright Star Antiques Co. through their on-line auctions. Their pictures and descriptions were all very correct and I received exactly what I believed they represented in their auction information. They supplied a list of potential shippers, as I live hundreds of miles away and I was very happy with the one I picked from their list that packed and shipped my purchased items. All items were received in great condition, were packed very well and left me feeling like I would purchase from them again as it was a very satisfying overall experience. experience.

Bright Star's employees are always helpful and will go the extra mile to give you any information you request in regards to their items. I have even experienced them walking the warehouse with me on the phone in search of an item and information regarding it. I thank you Bright Star for always striving for the best.

During the fall auction, Live Auctioneers was having trouble with getting bids in. I missed an item despite having sent my bid several times but it not sending. After this happened on about three separate occasions during the same auction I called them to let them know my frustrations and if they knew who won the lot. I got a call back about five minutes later and they had searched and not only found the winning bidder, but spoke with them about what had happened. The bidder was very kind as well and gave me the lot for the hammer price he paid for it. That says a lot about them as an auction house and the people they attract as bidders. Great people.

Bright Star answers their phone when you call. I didn’t have to play phone tag like so many auction houses make you do. They also quickly answered email questions. Very friendly on the phone too! I plan on watching their future auctions!
