Excellent lots on offer at fair prices. Shipping is another matter. Both difficult and costly.
Reputable auction house should offer in-house shipping rather than outsourcing to UPS store which after weeks of miscommunication lets you know they will not ship antique guns. Very disappointing and annoying. The UPS store which will ship is overpriced.

Smooth transaction
Everything went smoothly and the lot was even better than I expected. My one complaint is that their buyer and seller fees are rather high. I know this is becoming the norm in auctions these days, but when the house is getting nearly half of the total amount paid for a lot between buyer and seller fees it makes it very difficult for their clients, especially those in the trade.

Shipping delay
I won this item in September and received in Jan. The shipping process was very expensive and lengthy.

Good morning-We can certainly understand how this shipping situation was disappointing. As we do not handle shipping in-house, we rely on third party companies to provide seamless service. In this case, DAX, whom you contracted with to ship the piece, delayed pickup of your item and many other people's items several times, causing great frustration for all involved. As soon as we became aware of DAX's issues we provided all buyers with several additional options for shipping, and we have removed DAX from our recommended shippers. We work very diligently to recommend the best shippers, and on behalf of DAX we apologize for your poor experience with them. Thank you for bidding with A & O-we hope to bid with you again soon.
