The description of the items in one lot was incompetently written by someone whose 1st language is probably not English, and who apparently has little or no experience in correctly and professionally. Specifically, the writer clearly identified an antique item by the maker's name twice in the description. To be clear-the maker's name was not implied; it was clearly stated twice indicating the the piece was properly marked. My estimation of the piece's value and my bid was based on this information. What I rec'd was an unmarked piece whose value was considerably less than my bid. A universally accepted way to described unmarked antiques whose maker whose seller claims to know the identity of the maker. On top of that, when I notified McInnis about this they never evev bothered to respond. Needless to say, this is not an auction house I will ever buy from again.

I had a shipping question for John McInnis Auctioneers and thier team responded quickly and followed up to make sure I was satisfied and happy. I would recommend them whether buying or selling. You folks rock.

Sent emails through Live Auctioneers with no reply and had to call twice to finally get on the list to ship the lots. Local shippers are busy right now so could have taken a while for them to show but I didn't know what was occurring due to no communication. The lots are in good shape and pleased with purchase.

My bottle has a star crack in the shoulder that was not mentioned in the catalog description. It was visible in the photographs, but appeared to be a reflection and would not have been noticed by anyone online. It is immediately obvious where viewed in person and could not have been missed by their cataloging staff. I sent an email to discuss the problem and they did not reply.

He also knows well enough to rely on a professional platform like live auctioneers so us s collectors can bid efficiently and successfully. Good job GES

Service was fine, but House only offers two shippers which were both expensive-example of seemingly growing problem with bidding online.
