Kavenaugh suggested using their driver to deliver my dining table from Montreal to Brooklyn. This took 3 weeks and me having to chase them for any clarity on the status. The time frame is understandable but the lack of communication is not. When Bernie arrived, his van was packed to the brim with stuff, boxes literally falling to the ground, and nothing was packed safely. This is NOT white glove delivery. I had to carry the table with him myself and pulling it out from under all sorts of things in his van. Its a Lacquer table and has been brutally scratched from being transported in Bernies truck. Additionally (and what brought me to writing this review) is that Bernie sent me the invoice, and within 48 hrs of receipt, I additionally received 2 extra reminder emails, and 3 phone calls (1 at 10pm and another at 6am!) He also left a voicemail stating "if it weren't paid, that he would come down there myself" a formal threat for an invoice that he only sent 48hrs prior, after my having chased him for 3 weeks for an update on delivery, and then receiving my item brutally scratched. Mind you, I had every intention of paying him, I was literally traveling the 2 days this occurred. I am pretty shaken by the experience I have had. Kavenaugh themself were ok, but they absolutely must reconsider conducting business with Bernie, who doesn't have an ounce of professionalism or even basic etiquette in his bones.

I have purchased numerous lots through Kavanagh over the last couple of years. The selection on offer is interesting and the service is good.

From bidding, to billing, to shipping, this was one of the best experiences I have had in an online auction.

Product as described. Very good value. The auction company doesn't ship but they send products out to a shipping company. This cost me $300 for an item that measures 60 inches and 2 lbs total. A spear. The reason for the ridiculous price is that the spear is considered a weapon and its only allowed to be shipped out of Canada via Fedex. Insurance is also ridiculous and it only covers repair of the item for the cost of $75. Like there is a way to repair an 300 year old item which would require more money to ship to place and back. It is the responsibility of the company selling the item to warn those who bid that the item is considered a weapon and it would cost much more than a regular item to be shipped. After calling and speaking to the company I was advised they would call me back which never happened

The payment and shipping were smooth and fast, and the description of the item is accurate. Despite the expensive buyer's premium, shipping fee, brokerage fee, and transaction fee I paid, the whole price is still reasonable. The most important thing is I love the necklace I received! I start to follow this auction house.

They were very co-operative since my order came from Canada and paying for it was difficult because of the exchange rate.

The item I won from Kavanaugh Auctions was excellent, as described or better. Payment went smoothly. Kavanaugh turns over items to UPS for shipping which entailed a separate payment to UPS which also went smoothly. The item was packed very well and arrived in less time than I'd expected in perfect shape. All in all this was a 5 star experience that got me a companion piece to items I've owned for 40 years. I couldn't be better treated or more satisfied.

I was a bit hesitant because they don’t offer in house shipping but I got an advance shipping quote from the UPS resource they recommended. All went remarkably well. Fast safe shipping. Final cost under the quote. Efficient and reliable.

It was very expensive for me to have this picked up and shipped. I wish you had in-house shipping
