I purchased a beautiful frame, fully intact and in excellent shape. I received a broken frame with a large section completely missing. The frame was wrapped and sealed in plastic with good protection. The piece clearly was broken and lost after I purchased the painting and prior to the painting being wrapped and shipped. After sending photos and writing several notes, I received a snide statement from the auction house suggesting I read the conditions of sale "as is", of course ignoring that I did not receive the entire item I purchased. I would seek legal remedy if it were worth more than just a frame. They chose the shipper for me yet they don't even have the decency to investigate and find the missing section of the now useless frame. I am appalled by their insulting and patronizing response. As an experienced auction buyer for 25 years, I am disappointed.

The pendant was much smaller than expected. Shipping was extremely frustrating. The first 3rd party shipper I contacted could not have cared less about customer service. The second one was very good, but also very expensive. With so many other places to buy, I will not bid with this salesroom again.

I have purchased from Schuler in the past and will do so again in the future. Highly recommended!

They seem to be a bit scattered. They also handled questions about a piece of furniture and a bit of a problem very poorly. Also, during auction those at the computer desk to take online bids were talking and missed bids. Had to call them and request they pay attention. Please note that though I said I strongly agree that the photo and descriptions were accurate for THE PIECE I BOUGHT that was NOT so for many pieces. I was shocked at how misrepresented furniture was. I was able to go to the preview and see pieces in person before bidding online later. Thank goodness. Pieces that looked great online had breaks, wood missing, shabby condition, etc when I saw them in person... must have been "photoshopped" out. Shocking and disappointing. Don't really trust them now. Not very impressed with Crescent City overall.

Sky high shipping costs (we purchase all over the country) make me reluctant to return to this auction house

Their customer service is exceptional. They greet me by name when I go to preview items. I have gotten great deals there as well.
