Here is the email I sent to the UPS store recommended: I just want to let you know I received my Macy's Catalog today. I am very disappointed that SO much wrap and a HUGE box was used to ship a simple stack of 12 inch by 10.5 inch papers. I understand the value was over $200, however, in the interest of environment and additional packaging charges, this could have EASILY fit into a rigid large envelope. This is the first time I've received a package like this from any UPS. It is what I expect from Fed-Ex regularly, but not from UPS. Please do better. So as a buyer, just beware that UPS is going to gouge your wallet!!!

Happy with shipping process, product was in good condition and was like the picture. FYI they do not approve you as bidder till it gets closer to the auction date

The item was photographed in a way that was intentionally misleading. Necklace cannot be worn as displayed in listing photos and has some type of water damage that causes it to have a strong odor.

Terrific and interesting items in almost every single auction... a wonderful auction house!!

enjoy participating and do find fun things. but paying $35 to ship an item that cost $20 is a turn off. that includes a $10 pick up fee by the shipper! they are picking up many items not just one! unfair.

Let me begin by saying The Benefit Shop has awesome items and puts on a GREAT auction! Now I get that they don't provide shipping and steer you to the 3 or so UPS stores but a not so great shipping experience does reflect on them. Hard to understand but I had to pay $41 for packing and shipping for a $30 item that weighed no more than 8 oz from NY to NC. This same package using USPS Groujd Advantage would've been NO MORE THAN $8. So in end, over $70 for my $30 win with BP. I love The Benefit Shop but I guess I'm going to have to think twice about participating in future auctions.

Although the prices are good for the merchandise, the pick up experience was poor. After you check in your told where your products are located. You need to locate the racks and pull your merchandise off the shelves. They do not ship but will recommend companies to handle the shipping. Would not buy from them again.

The figurine described as Jade is a white chalk mold that was faux painted to resemble jade. It arrived damaged and scratched revealing the white chalk it was made of. Auctioneer has not refunded the purchase and shipping price to date as promised after I was asked to delete my original review which I graciously did.

When I go to pick up items I've purchased, the employees are consistently gracious and helpful. Any and all of my questions are answered politely and adequately, despite the ever-busy atmosphere. Items for pickup are organized and accessible.

Always look because I never know when something of interest will pop up. However, the staff at pick-up was rude.

Shipping is way too expensive and shippers are slightly unreliable. This house has many great items and deals but double check the shipping estimate before you commit!!!

Not a place for buying. A place for shipping over charging & excessive shipping fees. We called & no return calls or emails. They don't care. re sold our items & never issued us a refund.

This was my first experience picking anything up from The Benefit Shop-a drive if more than an hour from my North Jersey home. The man whom I approached about where my items were said "We never should have allowed you to bid in this auction." He said they two years ago, I bid in two items in a Benefit Shop auction and never paid for it picked up my items. I said that could not be correct. He insisted that I was sent multiple emails about it but never responded. Again, I said that's not possible. I said that I buy from LuveAuctioneers auctions often and I have a perfect rating. He kept digging and said I had two accounts in my name, one of them created with an email account that I pointed out was clearly invalid. (It ended ingmaol.com) it was this account that his organization had repeatedly emailed. Instead of apologizing for benefit shop's error, he insisted that only I could have created that invalid account and that the entire issue was my fault. He said the only way I could get a black mark off my account was to pay $45 for the long-gone items I never picked up-which were not even items I would have ever bid on. Eventually, he said that he was gonna kill the phony account, but they he was transferring the unresolved payment to my correct account. On top of this, he did not retrieve my items, the way most auctioneers do, but just pointed me to two numbered areas, where I had to pick through a lot of stuff yo find my items. I would never use this place again, even though they get very nice donations. As another unhappy customer put it, the philosophy here seems to be "The customer is as always wrong." As someone who buys a lot in online auctions, I had to say that I found the attitude at this place absolutely shocking. Terrible, terrible experience.
