The packing was done inappropriately the antique levels were packed loosely with a lamp a Fenton lamp that turned out to be quite aware coloring and hand painted and the levels broke the lamp in many pieces. I don't know who packed if it was the auction house or UPS I was disappointed to say the least but everything else came through wonderful.

Due to not reading my receipt clearly, I did not see the payment link. I called over the week-end & left a message. I got a return call first thing on Monday. Of course by then I had figured it out, but the caller was polite & patient.

I strongly suggest you request a condition report, and additional photos, if you are unable to preview items in person from this auction house. The lot I purchased looked fine in the one photograph provided, and there was no indication in the description of any damage, when in fact there are several obvious condition issues not visible in the one photo provided. At first glance when I received my package I thought the damage might be due to shipping so I contacted Andrew, he responded quickly. On closer inspection I realized the damage could not have been caused by shipping and determined the items were damaged prior to leaving the auction house. When I contacted Andrew a second time listing the damage I never heard back from him this time, which seems like confirmation that he was aware of the damage previous to the items being shipped. I have been bidding at many auction houses over the years, they make an effort to take more than one photo, which shows obvious defects and/or mention the condition issue in the item description, if any exist. Needless to say based on my many other experiences I was very disappointed with the lack of transparency, and would not have placed a bid at all, or certainly as high of a bid had, I know about the damage hidden under the perfume bottle caps. I will never again bid on an item from a new place, regardless if the picture does not show defects, without asking for a condition report and more photos. I’m unhappy but in the end regardless of how an auction house chooses to conduct their business, the due diligence falls on the buyer so big lesson learned. On a positive note the payment transaction was easy and the shipping was fast.
