My friend received item in perfect condition.

No other auction house on LiveAuctioneers releases your private info to a third party shipper. The shipper then produces a fraudulent invoice and asks repeatedly to Sept it. Antique Are a recused to acknowledge this terrible violation and fraudulent solicitation. They have lost a frequent customer.

Items advertised as real but photos are deliberately misleading. Use caution or wait for the next auction and you'll see the same item with same repro markings.

I'm a bit concerned that the lighter that I purchased about a month ago is fake. A similar item was sold today by the same auction auction house and it looks almost like an identical piece which gives me a red flag. I'm not saying that this auction house did anything wrong or on purpose but something doesn't seem right. I'm having the lighter authenticated by a company that specializes in WW2 German items.

Exactly as described. A little hard to get prompt response from them for arranging pick-up, but then it all went off without a hitch.

Fraud!!! $51, 200 ANTIQUE ARENA AUCTIONS I purchased a David Hockney – Paper Pools original lithograph from Antique Arena on 21st April 2023. I paid $51, 200 including fees. Instead of receiving an original lithograph that was described in their catalogue. I received a photocopy of the original where the numbering, signature and dry stamp have been forged. Realising the sent item was forged I took the item to Bonhams auction house in London who confirmed it was a reproduction and not an original. DO NOT DEAL WITH ANTIQUE ARENA AUCTIONS!!!

I'd requested that the auction house send comments/photos on items before they were shipped so that the shipper would not be held responsible for any damage (s). The auction house did not perform this request but the shipper was very good and sent photos.
