Julien Entertainment, in association with Odyssey Auctions, is delighted to present to you an extraordinary collection of props, posters, and memorabilia from some of the greatest motion picture and television horror and sci-fi classics of all time. Included is the famed brontosaurus model and props used in "King Kong", the spectacles worn by Edward Van Sloan as Dr. Helsing, the vampire hunter, in "Dracula", and personal effects from "The Man of 1000 Faces", Lon Chaney Sr. Moving into cinema's future, there is even an actual piece of the "Death Star" from the original "Star Wars" (1977).
The collections of two of the most influential and important figures of the horror and sci-fi genres, Forrest Ackerman and Kenneth Strickfaden.

From the collection of special effects genius Kenneth Strickfaden comes the original laboratory equipment used to bring Boris Karloff to life in "Frankenstein". Other pieces of Strickfaden wizardry in this collection appeared in "Bride of Frankenstein", "Son of Frankenstein", "The Munsters", the Universal Flash Gordon serials, "Dracula vs. Frankenstein" and Mel Brooks' "Young Frankenstein". For those with a passion for magic memorabilia, in the second installment of our sale you will find an amazing offering:.

The amazing collection of Blackstone memorabilia originates from the estate of Harry Blackstone Jr., which was bestowed upon his wife, Gay, after his passing in 1997. Gay Blackstone was not only Harry Blackstone Jr.'s assistant throughout his career, but she now stands as the keeper of the Blackstone Flame.

Each lot is described in detail and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Gay Blackstone to further protect it's history. In this catalogue you will find a wide array of magical Blackstone relics, ranging from historical documents, costumes, props and illusions that have been a part of the lives of these legendary performers.
