Antique & Modern Jewellery

This month's Antique & Modern Jewellery sale offers a wide variety of treasures for you to enjoy and is sure to have something to suit all taste and budgets. Our front cover lot is a truly special antique pendant by Louis Wiese. This tactile and opulent pendant displays Wiese's signature "goldwork" identity and uses Gothic themes and flavours also typical of the designer. For more whimsical tastes, our back cover lot made from 18ct gold and set with diamonds shows the fun side of jewellery. This energetic greyhound comes with interchangeable saddles for you to adapt to your individual look. In a similar vein is lot 122; an exquisitely crafted mid-Victorian blue enamel pendant with tiny diamond notes describing the opening bars to our National Anthem. An introduction to this catalogue would not be complete without mentioning lot 375, a remarkable antique stick pin. This cute jewel reads out the message "Don't be Cross" and is a perfect and unusual example of jewellery from this period that often held a secret message. As usual, we have an extensive collection of designer pieces with fabulously crafted pieces from antique designers such as Murrle Bennet & Co and Mikimoto, as well as modern designs from Bulgari, Gucci, Stephen Webster and Tiffany & Co. (the diamond heart pendant is particularly special) to name but a few. With estimates starting from as little as £60-90, now is your chance to own some truly fabulous jewellery without it costing the earth.
