Antique & Modern Jewellery
Our front cover lot, a late 19th century diamond necklace, set with just under 20cts of dazzling diamonds, should certainly get you in the summer mood. Composed of a series of diamond floral clusters, this
necklace is an excellent example of diamond jewellery of the period
and continues to have the same alluring effect over 100 years later. Our designer and named pieces section is also larger than usual with beautifully crafted pieces from designers such as Cartier, Tiffany &
Co and Chopard as well as the more abstract designs of Charles de
Temple, Chimento and Stephen Webster.
Other highlights include a beautifully crafted reverse carved intaglio charm with several different intricately painted lucky motifs - lot 1; a wonderfully delicate sapphire and diamond necklace composed of individually coloured sapphires, including two rare colour change sapphires - lot 25; an early 20th century enamel, diamond and seed pearl Royal presentation brooch with stunning blue guilloche enamel base - lot 260; some fabulously rich emeralds to rival the greens in any summer garden - lots 417, 454, and 433; together with our usual and consistently excellent selection of diamond single-stone rings and pendants.
