The Reichert Collection

We are pleased and proud to offer the lifetime collection from the Estate of Dr. Edward and Virginia Reichert of Greenville and Wilmington, DE. Noted collectors, the Reicherts purchased many items from prominent estates and collections, including the Henry Francis du Pont Estate. This special cataloged auction will feature American Antiques; Decorative and Fine Art, including a collection of works by Brandywine illustrators; Asian Export; Tiffany; Clocks; Fine Jewelry; Carpets; Silver, and more, with no additions. To be sold at absolute auction with no minimums or reserves. Known in the community as discriminating antique and art collectors, Dr. and Mrs. Reichert purchased many of the items in this collection at prominent estate auctions throughout the 1960s and 1970s, including the estate of Henry Francis du Pont, founder of Winterthur Museum in Greenville, Delaware. The couple loved Brandywine Valley artists and collected works by Wyeth, Schoonover, Hoskins and Darley, among others.
