the antique 19th century French equestrian bronze model of a polo player signed J Cuvelier and cast and inscribed to base with foundry stamp for H Lippens & CIE.
In Great Condition - No Damage.

Width: 38cm
Depth: 16cm
Cuvelier began exhibiting at the Paris Salon in 1867, and exhibited this model of a polo player there as well other bronzes. His career was unfortunately cut short as he was killed in action only three years later, defending Paris in 1870.
