Description
DESCRIPTION: Antique J & E Stevens cast iron mechanical bank, variation of "Artillery Bank" model featuring a tower, soldier, and cannon setup with mechanism for depositing coins: coin is deposited in cannon and lever on cannon is pulled back and locked raising soldier's arm; small lever next to cannon triggers cannon when pressed, launching coin into a tower opposite the cannon as soldier drops arm.
CIRCA: Late 19th to early 20th Century
ORIGIN: USA
DIMENSIONS: H: 5.5" W: 3.75" L: 7.5"
CONDITION: Paint loss and minor oxidation throughout; component attaching cannon lever to soldier's arm has been replaced, requires attention
